Ugly Sweater Party Photo Booth

Grab a prop and get UGLY!

Photo booths are a great party addition and definitely a must at your ugly sweater party. Photos from the party a great party favor for your guests. Your guests will be dressed so tacky that you may also want to use the photos from your ugly sweater party as leverage later on.

Setting up a great ugly sweater photo booth is super easy. Remember: the uglier the better! Grab an old Christmas table cloth and hang it on the wall. Add some multi-color Christmas lights and ugly sweater garland and your background is done.

Next you will need a photo booth sign and props. Props are easy to make. Print, cut, add a stick and wha-la. Paste your sign to a large, clear cookie jar and you can stash the props inside. Other things that are great for an ugly sweater photo booth are tree garland, lights and Christmas wreaths.

Now all you need is some very ugly sweater wearing guests and a camera.

Glitter, Buttons, Bows or a Vest! Which invite is the Tackiest?

It's that time of year again to break out your Grandma's Christmas sweater and party. My favorite type of Christmas party is definitely the Ugly Sweater party. Every year people seem to get more and more creative (or should I say TACKY?) with their sweaters.

Simple and Sweet Winnie the Pooh 1st Birthday

My sweet nephew Daniel turned one! My sister Rita wanted a very simple Winnie the Pooh party for him. There is a photo of  Rita on her 1st Birthday sitting in our Winnie the Pooh highchair with me looking on and since my mother still has that highchair (33 years and a ton of grand kids later!) Rita thought it would be cool for Daniel to celebrate his birthday in the same chair.

You are my Sunshine

I'm working on a new baby shower set this week. This is actually a theme I did a really long time ago but there were some things I didn't like about it so I am tweaking it a bit. Look for the whole set in my shop soon!

Mustache Valentines

I just finished my last Valentines for the year for my own little sweetheart. I have really enjoyed making all of my customers Valentines this year. Tomorrow there are a couple hundred or so kids that will be passing out their special Valentines designed by thatpartygirl to their friends at school and I'm so happy to be a part of that. I remember how exciting it was when I was little getting all those Valentine cards at school... not to mention the candy that came along with a lot of them! I hope all of you have a wonderful Valentine's day!!

Saint Valentine

Valentine's Day is one of my very favorites. I love making Valentine's for my daughter Mac and all of my nieces and nephews. This year I am also going to have a very small Valentine party for Mac and a few of her friends so of course I had to create some party decor for the event. All of these items are available in my shop.

Paper Scraps

Ever wondering what to do with all those scraps of paper? If the trash man went through my trash every week he would probably think that I shredded paper for a living! I usually have 1… sometimes 2 HUGE trash bags a week of nothing but scraps of paper. I've been thinking lately, there has to be something I can do with it… or at least some of it. I made little monster banners tonight for my sweet and handsome great-nephew (yes I am unfortunately old enough to have a “great” nephew) and I thought why not make some garland out of all the left over scraps. It was actually really easy. I didn't have to cut much more and pretty much just had to fold the pieces in half. Since the theme is Little Monster, I think the mix-matched sizes and shapes look great. I started off using a glue gun to glue them to the rope but quickly realized it was going to be a pain to get all the glue strings off so I switched to my Scotch tape glider. I put a little tape on the inside of the fold of each piece and wha-la. Super easy! The party is in a few weeks, I will post pics then of how we end up using it.
